eBay Auctions for Extra IncomeExtra Income Ideas: eBay Auctions

eBay Super Strategies – Everyone knows that you can auction off your unwanted items at eBay for some extra cash but did you know that it has been roughly estimated that over 50,000 people make a full time living at it? These hyper-successful auctioneers often have a special strategy that puts them ahead of the game.

For example there is a family that made a deal with a local women’s designer clothing store. When the store manager wishes to clear out the merchandise to make room for the next season’s styles the family buys out the older inventory at a small fraction of the original price. The items are then photographed and posted for auction on eBay. Each task is then divided amongst the family members; one models the clothes, one handles the photography, another posts the items on eBay while still others handle the shipping and record keeping duties.

eBay Strategy Number 742:Buy stuff at low prices on eBay then put those items right back on eBay and sell them for a higher price. This is sometimes referred to as eBay arbitrage. One way to find items that are underpriced is to look for misspelled listings that are missed by eager buyers. All you really have to do then, is re-list the item under its correctly spelled title. This is a nice and profitable little trick that with some vigilance can be repeated over and over and over and over……… well, you get the idea.

Bid on Storage Unit Content Auctions In many states the laws allow the owner of storage unit companies to auction off the contents of storage units that have unpaid rent. Go to these places in your community and ask to be notified when these auctions are about to take place. Some auction rules allow you to look over the contents to decide what you are willing to bid. Other companies only allow the briefest of peeks while still others insist that you bid completely blind. The rules usually state that you must pay in cash for winning bids and remove the contents immediately.

The next step is to auction the items on eBay or post them for sale on Craigslist.org. Obviously the key to success is to bid as low as possible to insure you will have the best chance of making a profit.
